Bente Thomsen

Bente Thomsen is a Founding Partner at www.billetexpressen.dk, a flexible ticketing and booking system, and a Partner and Managing Director at www.BuyMyTicket.dk, an online portal for ticket resales.

Bente started her business as co-founder and Managing Director of BuyMyTicket.dk., Denmark’s first online market place specialized in buying and reselling sports, entertainment and concert tickets. The company, which was established in 2009, was Bente’s first venture as an entrepreneur following a career in sales and retail. Inspired by it's success and based on market observations made during the start-up process, Bente and her business partners went on to launch BilletExpressen.dk in 2010. BilletExpressen.dk, a flexible ticket and booking system, has since become the backbone of the ticket sales systems for numerous Danish venues and today accounts for 12 million sales annually on an international basis. The largest single event handled by the system is the Szigiet Festival in Ungary which is attended by more that 300.000 people over a one week period.

Bente is an avid networker and strives to create meaningful collaborations between people and organizations. Her goal is to make cultural activities in Denmark and internationally more accessible to the public at large.
